Revolutionizing Urban Landscapes: Aico's Headquarters Complex

Aico's Innovative Design Blends Work and Living Spaces Seamlessly

Located in the heart of Changsha's Creative Media Technology Park, the Headquarters Complex by Aico is a groundbreaking architectural project that redefines the boundaries between work and living spaces. This multifunctional complex, awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, is a testament to Aico's commitment to innovation and design excellence.

The Headquarters Complex is composed of an office building and two apartment buildings, all connected by a shared platform layer. This layer, located at higher levels, houses amenities such as a gym, swimming pool, book bar, and a small cinema. These shared facilities create a unique linkage between working and dwelling, reflecting Aico's innovative approach to urban design.

The project's podium comprises a three-story garden office, accommodating working spaces, meeting rooms, reception areas, and a product gallery for the five branch companies owned by Sunwalk Construction Group. The garden office's porous design allows natural light to flood the interior spaces, enhancing the openness of the project to the city.

Located adjacent to the Liuyang River and the park's central axis, the Headquarters Complex is a unique city landmark. Despite the site's building height limit of 120m, Aico's design team has ingeniously linked the three towers to maximize the view towards the river. This innovative design feature sets the Headquarters Complex apart from other urban structures.

The project's technical specifications further highlight its scale and ambition. With a total construction area of 114664sqm and a land area of 17012sqm, the complex includes a 35000sqm office area and a 49500sqm apartment area. The design team, including Jun Zhang, Chong Shen, Ziqiang WU, Xuejiao Zhao, and Dongao Wang, has successfully transformed the site into a multifunctional urban hub.

Aico's Headquarters Complex is not just a building; it's a dynamic, interactive space. The high-level platform layer enhances interaction and circulation between the office, hotel, and apartment towers. At the street level, a garden-like office is set up in a three-story podium, with a public visiting road introduced to improve the project's openness to the city and the streets.

The project, which started in April 2019 and is still ongoing, embodies Aico's commitment to breaking barriers between office, residential, and street spaces. Despite the challenges posed by the site's height limit, Aico's design team has created a unique city landmark that enhances the project's publicity and introduces a new level of urban design.
